Accidental Apocalypse

What was it I said?

Morning was fine, morning was calm.

Uneventful.

Then, just after noon, BAM – napalm.

World on fire.

But what was it I said?

Something triggered the cascade,

chain reaction.

Now I’ll lie in the bed I made,

confuscared.

You’re 5-alarm mad as hell

as I try to un-ring that bell,

but what was it I said?

I imagine archeologists

investigating;

what could have extinguished

everything.

Bet they won’t guess it was me,

who caused this catastrophe

by pissing you off.

Some random comment, some thoughtless joke,

and now the whole word is shrouded in smoke.

Apocalypse.
